This and That

WOW, The last couple of weeks have been busy ones, even more than usual, with both ups and downs. On the downside was work on my website. I had intended to make a few improvements, but instead I royally messed up a couple of things. Instead of the few hours of work I had planned it took me days to put things straight again. I am just not very good at the nitty gritty details of HTML code. On top of that, my email account stopped working all of a sudden through no fault of mine. My service provider decided that it was time to change my password and nobody thought that I might want to know about that. That too took a couple of days to clear up. Do you hate calling a Help desk as much as I do? The first obstacle to overcome is the menu you have to go through, starting with English or Spanish? Followed by lots of choices and a number to press for the right choice. Then if you are not sure of the right choice, you go through the whole list again. When you finally press the right number, you hear: all technicians are helping others, please stay on the line – wait time is about 30 minutes (if you are lucky). When I finally got somebody on the line I was grateful it was someone who at least spoke English and not someone with a thick accent I did not understand and who could not understand me.

On the upside I had a short but lovely visit from my son, daughter-in-law, and delightful granddaughter who live out of state. They spent most of the time on the beach, but I cooked them a lovely Italian lasagna dinner and my daughter and son-in law joined us too. We had a great time with lots of laughter and the following evening we all had pizza and beer on the coast and watched the sunset. Another great evening.

I had planned on writing this post on some lovely handbags I found on another blog. Instead I have been ranting on about some personal things. So, I will keep the handbag topic for another day because they are really lovely and deserve a separate post. Please stay tuned.
