Two Interesting links

I came across some interesting links I want to pass on in case someone else find them helpful.

The first one is a video showing how to attach binding together with faux piping by Margo Clabo. It came in a newsletter form the Quilt Show by Alexander Anderson and Ricky Tims, but can also be found on YouTube, the link is: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qOd26fzU4jY .

faux pipingEven if you don’t want to bother with piping, there are some great tips in the video and well worth a view.

The next one is a tutorial on how to hem knit fabric  by Beth Huntington of the Renegade Seamstress, a blog I follow. No video here, but clear instructions and excellent pictures. If you have ever struggled with hemming a knit shirt and the result was a wavy hem, this is a must see. You can find the tutorial at:  http://www.ehow.com/how_7422013_hem-knit-fabrics.html.
